12 Days of Christmas ATC Sisterhood Blog Hop!

Hi everyone. I was lucky enough to be able to participate in Jamies Blog Hop for ATC Sisterhood! The theme was 12 Days of Christmas and I was lucky enough to get 'Six Geese A-Layin' (My favorite line from the song). This is the ATC I came up with.

The card is, of course, 2.5"x3.5". I used a LOT of Glimmer Mist. The base is gold cardstock by Bazzill and the red paper is from Recollections. The red was too 'red' for me, so I vintaged it up by misting it with Wheatfields and a smidgeon of Pinecone Glimmer Mists. I cut an egg shape out of manilla paper and distressed it by crumpling it up and rubbing my Tea Dye Distress Ink by Tim Holtz over it. To make the ink smudge, rather than spraying the egg with water I sprayed it with Wheatfields Glimmer Mist. I inked the edge of the egg with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink. I couldn't find an image of geese that I liked, so I drew the geese you see! I used a black pen and cut the geese out (there are six of course!) I then sprayed that with Wheatfields ( I am so in love with this color! ). For the Prima two-tone roses (they started out pure white), I dipped a round brush right into my bottle of Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist and touched the brush tip to the center of the rose. I let the mulberry do it's work and absorb the mist from the brush. Guess what else I sprayed it with?? Wheatfields of course. The red mini roses came like that and are from iamroses.com. I added two eyelets in the corner and edged the whole thing with Frayed Burlap. Oh, I almost forgot. I added gold ribbon under the geese to act as sort of a nest. Whew, lots of work goes into these tiny cards! But this was so fun to make :)
